Picking Apples and Pumpkins

One of our favorite books is about a family who visits a local orchard in the fall (Picking Apples and Pumpkins,) and then comes home to make apple pie and carve pumpkins.  I've always wanted to go apple picking so we found a local orchard and invited some friends for a morning.  We took a hay ride, learned about honeybees and ate a few fall raspberries!  And then we picked and climbed and picked and climbed!
