Cabbage

G has developed a wild alter ego. Her name is Cabbage. Cabbage like to do silly things like lick the table, run around and be crazy, be a baby, and especially, be called Cabbage. Cabbage's brother also enjoys calling her Cabbage. We believe the name comes from one of our current favorite books "Clara Caterpillar."

Clara is a cabbage caterpillar, who grows up to be contented and courageous, just as her mother encouraged her to be. It is a great book, full of 25 cent words (my parents name for long difficutl words.) G now talks about being contented. I love books like this, that introduce complicated words as part of the story, that stretch kids just a little bit. And it is also a great story about helping friends, and appreciating your own gifts.
