Let it Snow...and Blow

We've had a very snowy blowy weekend. But we got some good sledding in on Thursday. Here are the kids on the sled...

We've also got some awesome drifts in our yard from the wind, and snow between our screens and windows. The good news - only one night with no power (and not even the whole night here,) no frozen pipes, and no roof damage.

The view out our family room window - note the snow stuck in between the screen and the glass. Most of our screened windows had some version of this.

One of the smaller drifts in our backyard - over the "rock garden."

J hauling the snowblower over the backyard drifts to get to the driveway. Since, as you'll see below, we couldn't exactly move a car to get it through the garage.

Driveway drift - 3 ft ish. Thanks to J and our good neighbor and the shovel and snowblower, this drift has now been relocated on top of a similar sized drift in the back corner of the fence. You can now step over the fence since the drift is fence height inside and outside.
We're hoping that the roads will be good this week for some outings, the last Christmas shopping, and some fun with friends.

Crazy how much snow we have! Your pictures of the kids are so cute--I really like the one of G with the rolling pin. Have a Merry Christmas!
