We bought the mattress and box spring and tied it to the roof of the car for the drive home. We drove slowly on the backroads until we had to take the interstate. The mattress and boxspring nearly slid off the car, but after some readjustments we made it home safely and now G is happily napping in her new big girl bed.
The only sad part is she was so busy playing when we got home, that she didn't see us take apart her crib, and was a little confused about how it got "broken" in her closet. But she is so excited to be a big girl now!

Love the way Gretchen is posed driving the car. I still need to figure out what to dress Sage in for Halloween. Jack took care of the boys but was nervous that the Peep costume he was going to get for Sage I'd return...
