Mud stompers

Who doesn't love to stomp in the mud? Really, it is such fun. Oh that small amount of dirt, don't worry, Mom will clean it up. And oops, sometimes we sit in the mud too. Not to worry!

We have two little mud stompers in our house, and a mud pit in the middle of our backyard. See, the water doesn't drain that well from our yard. And after two small snowfalls over the past few days, and weeks of rain before that, we have one very wet backyard. So yesterday the mud stompers had a grand old time. And I have a grand old pile of dirt at my back door, boots to be washed, and clothes to be cleaned.

It sure looks fun though, doesn't it?

And for those keeping track of our gardening efforts, we even got five more hostas planted. So six in, eighteen to go, plus the peonies. Assuming they don't all die before I get them in the ground.
