Oh we love our weekly farm box. The kids know that it comes on Wednesday afternoon, and are excited to go get it. G loves to help unpack it.
A selection of her quotes today,
G: "He-uh mama. Chaad! (chard)" Me: "What color is it?" G: "Pink chaad!" (which she happily eats, if hungry.)
G: "A kiwi! Kiwi is fuzzy."

G: "What dis? Oh it an onion!"
G: "Look mama. It a wittle tiny owange. Anudduh wittle tiny owange. I put it away."
G: "Ooh a gwapefwoot!" (she loves grapefruit and grapefruit juice. A tangent - I first bought ruby red grapefruit juice for her because it was Pink juice. And she loves it. But she seems a bit confused about pink grapefruit vs. pink grapes.)
G: "Wed apples! Let's put dem in duh fwidge!"
G: "Wed apples! Let's put dem in duh fwidge!"
She just loves emptying the box, handing me each item to put in its proper place (pears and kiwi and mango in the fruit basket, apples and oranges and veggies in the fridge, potatoes in the pantry.) And then when the produce is unloaded, we take out the paper sheet in the bottom of the box, and some weeks she gets in herself, but this week she put her baby doll and a pink towel in and carried it around. "It heavy!"
And this morning? Both kids, in the box, meowing like cats! (G is happy here, it just doesn't look like it.)
