It has been raining hard for nearly 24 hours now. Yesterday afternoon and evening it was blowing sideways. The snow pile in our backyard is down from 4+ feet to less than a foot. And given where we live, the combination of lots of rain plus leftover snow means flooding for our river. No school today because of flooding. Meantime, we're curious about what the falls look like, but are debating if we could even get there. Last time the river was this high (two months ago,) the bridge to the falls was closed. Weather Service predicts a crest tonight, so maybe we'll venture out this afternoon to see.

We went to the falls today it was amazing! you should head out on Friday. The bridge is open. Today from the observation deck there was too much mist to see anything. Walk up to the left and you can see it from there. Have fun!
