S has lost his second baby tooth! The first one came out in mid November after an apple eating incident - and it was a huge surprise to J and me that he was old enough to lose a tooth. But after that incident, we realized that the second of the two front bottom teeth was also loose. We've been keeping an eye on it, and noticed it getting particularly wobbly around Christmas.
The morning of 12/31, we were headed out to do some errands and had a babysitter over for the kids. J warned her about the very nearly out tooth, and the possible bleeding. We came home around lunch time, she didn't say anything about it, and so I didn't think of it until 20 minutes later, when I looked at S and asked where the tooth had gone! He had no idea, and after some hedging by him (possibilities included the tooth was in Buzz Lightyear's world) we decided that he probably swallowed it.
We finally got around to writing the tooth fairy an explanatory note tonight, in hopes that she will understand that the tooth has left S's mouth, and thus merits a dollar even though the tooth is MIA. We'll see if she accepts the note!

That is too funny!! I can't believe he is already losing teeth! And then to not know about it . . . hope the tooth fairy accepted the explanation ;)
Bryce lost his first tooth a week after Mykell hit him in the mouth. I think the apple way is better.
